Microblading

What is Microblading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent tattooing technique used to reconstruct lost eyebrow hairs. Even if you have little to no eyebrows I can create a beautiful, more defined, and fuller brow.

Some of us spend a lot of time and money plucking, waxing, threading, and filling in our eyebrows. Which is why you should consider something more permanent like microblading. Eyebrow trends do change which is why I love the semi-permanent appeal of microblading.

How does it work?

Using a manual tattoo technique, tiny hair-like strokes implant pigment into the epidermal layer of the skin. Due to the pigment fading over time, it is recommended to have a touch up done every 1-2 years to maintain results.

What to Expect During Your Treatment?

Microblading can take up to 2 hours. Eyebrow mapping is done before the procedure where I will measure and draw the outline of the desired eyebrow shape. Then numbing cream is applied to the area. Next I will begin making tiny hair-like strokes to ultimately create a natural looking brow.

You can expect for the first couple of days, the color of your new brows being bolder, and darker. Flaking and scabbing can start after 4-5 days. It is very important not to pick at these flakes or scabs. Picking can pull out the pigment leading to loss of color in those spots.

Henna Brow

Henna is a 100% plant-derived, vegan dye that has been used for centuries on hair and skin. It is gentle on the skin and doesn’t contain lead or ammonia. By tinting your brows with Henna, you can ditch your brow pencil & shadows and still flaunt fabulous looking brows.

What are henna brows?

Henna brows are a type of tinting that stains the skin giving you tinted hairs for up to 6 weeks and a tint on the skin that can last anywhere from 2-10 days. It’s a fantastic way to try out a shape before committing to semi-permanent makeup, or if you just want your eyebrows shaped and filled temporarily.

Henna brows process

The first step for henna brows is all about cleansing and removing any oils from the skin. This is to ensure that your skin is super clean and ready for the henna.

After your eyebrows are clean, they are then measured and shaped which also allows you to have some input before the process goes ahead. Then a white paste is applied around your eyebrows that acts as a barrier and is what gives you the sharp, defined lines of your new eyebrow shape.

Now it’s time for the henna! This part of the process is intricate and very carefully applied. The henna has to be pushed onto the skin to ensure it sits in between the hairs to give you that fuller effect. Once it is evenly applied and super sharp, it will sit there for about 10 – 20 minutes. After it’s done developing, it is wiped away and your eyebrows are then waxed, threaded, or tweezed to complete a high definition effect.
